Café Gísli, Eiríkur & Helgi

Gísli, Eiríkur & Helgi is our nice little café located at Grundargata 1, Dalvík and also goes by the name Bakkabræður café.

The café is named after three brothers famous in our old folk stories also named Bakkabræður. The brothers believed everything anyone said and were quite simple men. The stories were created around their personalities and the following humour.

The café has become popular for its decorations and design. It’s old-fashioned with hundreds of items worth looking at.

We offer our famous fish soup with homemade bread, made from our local beer “Kaldi”, and of course coffee, cakes and alcoholic beverages.
